Guided Fishing + Lodge Stays on Costa Rica’s Río Niño
Technical river fishing by day. A/C, hot showers, and good food at night.
It’s not a rushed “do-everything” tour. This is a focused river experience with a lodge base that keeps the day simple: fish hard, eat well, sleep cold, and wake up ready to do it again.

Multi-day river fishing with a lodge base. Built around real water time, solid guidance, and a proper reset at night.
A calmer half-day float built for scenery, wildlife, and photos. Perfect for families, mixed groups, and non-anglers.
A comfortable base just steps from the Río Niño. Private rooms, A/C, hot showers, and a quiet place to reset between fishing days.
A few real moments from the river and the lodge — and what guests said after the trip.
“An absolute gem of a place! We fished with Gilberto down the river in a super comfy boat. The fishing was great and the wildlife around us was insane. Back at the lodge we had a ton of fun, breakfast was superb, and the rooms were SO comfy with A/C and attention to detail.”

“Great place to relax and fish. Definitely set up as a fishing lodge with amenities you wouldn’t expect (but are welcome). Rooms for larger groups, games at night, and a comfortable stay. We’ll definitely go back.”
“Excellent location and the lodge is awesome. Gilberto the guide is very good. Fishing from a nice drift boat is the only way to fish. A true getaway fishing adventure.”
A river-first operation. Simple logistics, good guidance, and a setup that keeps the focus where it belongs — on the water.
Guide
Gilberto has spent his whole life on the river. He reads water like a second language and keeps the day focused and safe. He’s also worked with the Costa Rican Red Cross for 15 years as a lifeguard.
Lodge Owner
Dale has fished the Río Niño for 12 years and built the lodge side around what anglers actually need after a full day on the water.
Tip from Dale: Watch your back cast — there’s lots of trees — and aggressively slap the fly down on the water for best results.
Bookings & Marketing
I’ve been in Costa Rica for two seasons (one full year). I handle the website, booking coordination, and marketing. I’ve fished the Río Niño one time — so if you want the real river intel, that’s Gilberto.
The Río Niño is technical river fishing. Species and conditions shift with the season and water level. For “what’s on” during your dates, the best move is to message Dale or Gilberto.
